The reason behind starting Tehni was the urge to run my creativity without the limitation of working for a cooperate brand. I am passionate about design and working with natural material has always been my forte. Therefore the existence of Tehni has proven to be the perfect creative platform for me to devote my time and energy to.

Story behind our Name

Tehni or ٹھنی is a word from Urdu vocabulary, the national language of Pakistan, which means a Sprig. A sprig is a much prettier branch as it has flowers and leaves on it.

Likewise, choosing a word from our own identity reminds me the value of my roots and the beauty hidden inside the rawness, flawed but yet so beautifully crafted civilization that we have gained from our forefathers with the heritage of Pakistan.

Defined by the word Tehni, it makes very much obvious to our customers and visitors that this brand is somewhat related to wood. So now we introduce the type of wood we use to create our masterpieces.

We mainly use Wood Veneers for our jewellery pieces and hard wood for making our solid product like handbag and jewellery box.

Wood Veneers are the thin slices pf expensive woods that are usually attached on top of a normal priced wood to give it a more exclusive feel. These veneers work perfectly for our products as these are light- weight yet high quality raw material, leading us to create perfect ornament for our beloved customers.
